North of Calgary Alberta is a city named Airdrie, which is part of the Calgary census region. Although the population of Airdrie is around 60000 people, there is no lack of services or recreational activities in the area and Calgary is only a short distance away for any services not easily obtainable in Airdrie. However, the city Airdrie is fully equipped, staffed and prepared with Health Care Professionals at its many Public Health Services, Mental Health, Seniors Care Facility in addition to Walk in & Travel Clinics and Doctor’s Offices.

In Airdrie, there are plenty of summer activities available. The beautiful Woodside Golf Course offers 18 holes for golfing. Another popular activity is bowling – at Big Springs Plaza, Shamrock lanes offers 12 lanes of five-and 10-pin bowling. Other features include a full-service snack bar, a lounge with pool tables and dartboards, TVs to watch sports, a pro shop and more.

There are natural attractions in the area such as Nose Creek Park, which covers a large area in the center of Airdrie. The centerpiece of the park is the pond with a fountain in the middle and a viewing platform on one side. There are paved walkways that run throughout the park and cross the creek in several places, which makes it a beautiful area to walk with your loved ones. Big Hill Springs Provincial Park is located north east of Calgary and is characterized by its system of small waterfalls, rocky terraces, lush parkland and extensive hiking trails. The park is also the site of Alberta’s first creamery and an historic fish hatchery.

Many annual activities such as the Airdrie Festival of Lights in December, the Airdrie Rodeo and the Canada Day parade are activities that you and your loved ones can participate and look forward to. These activities and more are part of what makes the location of the Hamlets at Cedarwood Station a great choice for senior residential care.
